Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function and electrolyte balance
Just one tablet a day provides 400 mg of magnesium, 400 mg of potassium, as well as zinc, chromium, iron, and vitamins B6 and B12!

Magnesium contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and normal muscle function. This mineral also supports the normal function of the nervous system and contributes to electrolyte balance.
Around 59% of the body's total magnesium is stored in the bones, 40% in the muscles and other body cells, and only about 1% in the blood. This is why magnesium is often referred to as the mineral for bones and muscles.
Since the body loses around 300–400 mg of magnesium every day through sweat and urine, it is important to ensure an adequate intake by consuming magnesium-rich foods such as bread, dairy products, fruit, or beverages. If the body does not receive enough magnesium, it may begin to draw on the magnesium stores in the bones and muscles.
Potassium – an important electrolyte
Potassium is an essential mineral, around 98% of which is found inside the body's cells – especially in muscle cells – where it is indispensable for their function. It is one of the body's most important electrolytes.
Among other functions, potassium is essential for normal muscle function, including both voluntary muscles, such as those in the arms and legs, and involuntary muscles, such as those of the intestines and heart. It is also required for the normal function of the nervous system and contributes to the maintenance of normal blood pressure.
Athletes, frequent sauna users, or people suffering from diarrhoea may lose significant amounts of this mineral. A high intake of table salt can also affect electrolyte balance. A varied and balanced diet is important to ensure an adequate potassium intake. Good dietary sources of potassium include bananas, mushrooms, cheese, spinach, wholemeal bread, and potatoes.
